Your Hike: The Sentier of Cap d'Antibes

Welcome to your custom excursion page, where you will find information about your hike and its surroundings, as well as any photos or videos take during your excursion. Enjoy!

The Cap d’Antibes is a small peninsula located on the French Riviera, near the town of Antibes. The area has a long and rich history dating back to ancient times. Settled by the Greeks, the Cap d’Antibes later became a Roman outpost. In the Middle Ages, it was a strategic location for the defense of the coast and was home to a number of fortifications. The area also became a popular destination for artists and writers, including F. Scott Fitzgerald, who wrote parts of his novel “Tender is the Night” while staying on the peninsula. In the 19th century, the Cap d’Antibes began to attract wealthy tourists and aristocrats, who built luxurious villas along the coast.

The hike from Plage de la Garoupe starts at the beach and winds its way along the rugged coastline to the Villa Eilenroc.
As you hike along the trail, you'll be treated to panoramic views of rocky cliffs, and turquoise waters below.
