Routes: Le Tour 24

Your Le Tour 24 cycling trip is right around the corner, and we are really excited to see you and share a week of French Riviera cycling, dining and Tour de France watching together! We have put together an itinerary based on the best local roads and the routes of the Tour de France 2024. You’ll find information about the routes below, as well as links to GPX files you can upload to your GPS devices. The final days’ routes are not yet available as we are still waiting for the official road closure schedule, which will impact our routes. As soon as the routes are finalized, we will post the GPX files to this page. Ride start times may vary depending on the day’s route, the weather, and our lunch stop, but will generally be around 9:00/ 9:30 AM.

7/15: Welcome to the Côte d'Azur!

Bienvenue en France! As guests will be arriving throughout the day, the schedule will be flexible to best accommodate the group. Our staff will be on hand to help with bike rental set-up and mechanical assistance. We will do a short and very scenic spin with stunning Mediterranean views in the mid-afternoon for anyone who isn’t too tired from the journey. Our first dinner will be right in the hotel, so you can get an early night and feel fresh and ready to ride in the morning!

7/16: Col d'Eze & Col de la Madone

We will start our first ride in the mountains with the Col d’Èze, featured in the 2020 Tour de France and also in the time trial of the 2024 edition (coming from Monaco). Our ride then brings us through the town of La Turbie and down to Menton, where we start the classic 13.6 km Col de la Madone, taking us from sea level to 926 meters, before descending past the picturesque village of Peille to join the Grande Corniche with its breathtaking sea views as we head back to Nice.

7/17: Aspremont & Mont Chauve

This ride will take us into the picturesque countryside just north of Nice, up a gentle 10 km climb to the perched village of Aspremont. We will then head to the summit of Mont Chauve, the site of a fortress from the late 19th century – but best known among cyclists for its hairpin turns that zigzag their way to an impressive viewpoint at 853 meters above the sea and the city of Nice. We’ll plan to be back in Nice in time for the Eze & Monaco tour at 2:00 PM, since many group members have registered for this non-cycling activity.

7/18: Queen Stage! Col de Braus & Col de Turini

For our Queen Stage of Le Tour 24, we will take on two epic climbs of the 2024 Tour de France penultimate stage! We’ll start by ascending the legendary Col de Braus with its iconic switchbacks, before descending to the village of Sospel where we take on the challenging Col de Turini. This 20.7 km pass with an average gradient of 5.7% was featured in the Tour de France 5 times and is also known for its yearly appearance in the Monte Carlo Rally. Once we reach the summit, it’s all downhill and flat going back to Nice.

7/19: TDF Stage 21 TT Route Monaco - Nice

We will ride to Monaco for a coffee stop in true pro cyclist style, before taking on the official Individual Time Trial route of the final stage of the 2024 Tour de France. This hilly race against the clock from Monaco to Nice is sure to be an exciting game changer, potentially shaking up the top places of the race! It also happens to be a beautiful route, with breathtaking scenery in every direction – and luckily we will have more time than the TDF riders to appreciate it!

7/20: TDF Stage 20 Live Race Viewing

We will ride from Nice to the first climb of Stage 20 – the Col de Braus – to see the racers in action as they start an exciting day battling it out in the mountains! For anyone who would prefer to have a more relaxing day, and for our non-cycling participants, you can easily walk/ride over to the start area in Nice. We will post the exact route and GPX file once the official schedule of road closures is released – but you can expect a ride that is about 60-75 km long with up to 1500 m of climbing.

7/21: Pre - TDF Finale Ride

Our entire group (cycling & non-cycling participants) will have seats in the grandstand of the Tribune du Centenaire to watch the exciting final stage of the Tour de France live in Nice, VIP style! Cycling participants can do a morning ride together before watching the grand finale of the 2024 Tour de France. We will announce the ride route once we know more about road closures scheduled on that day.

Please note that the routes are subject to change based on weather, group preferences, road closures and other factors beyond our control.
